Efficient and affordable lifting equipment for every warehouse
Warehouse management is evolving rapidly, and more and more warehouse managers face the need to move goods, whether to an upper floor or mezzanine, where they are assembled or stored. This need is usually met by a lift or a proper shaft lift. When using a lift, the work process may encounter the following bottlenecks:
Situation: the lift is currently occupied with its task (or the battery is empty at the wrong time) – working time is spent on traveling/waiting, and work priorities also suffer.
Using an additional specialized lift is economically rather questionable.
Additional occupational safety risks. On the upper floor or mezzanine, there must be a loading opening, often equipped with simple metal gates.
A proper shaft lift is a reliable and good option, but it comes with its drawbacks:
HIGH COST
Installing a lift into an existing warehouse space is extremely difficult, and the building project will definitely need to be modified. Again, the costs.
The technical specifications of a shaft lift are standardized, so the user’s choice is quite limited.
A shaft lift is an integral part of the building, and if you move to another location, the warehouse tenant cannot take it with them.
With our extensive experience in warehouse equipment, we have developed a very simple and efficient lifting equipment solution.
Brief description of our solution:
A key component of the device is a Reach Truck stacker mast equipped with a hydraulic system. We have manufactured the base frame, a structure equal in height to the lift, and the lifting platform. Kinnitame masti raamile, kahvlitele kinnitame tõsteplatvormi. We create a recess in the floor of about 200 mm, into which we secure the base frame – the platform then rests on top of it. The recess is only necessary to allow the use of carts; it is not required for the lift or stacker. Both floors have doors with magnetic locks, and the device operates only when all doors are closed. At the mezzanine level, hydraulic support bars are installed – small but crucial components.
With the goods on the platform and the doors closed, we press the “up” button, and the platform rises slightly above the mezzanine level. The support bars drop down, and the platform with the goods rests on them. Thus, loading and unloading are very convenient, the platform is stable, and it does not sink downward. This is a brief description of the simplest version; each lifting device is a custom project, and various additional features are available upon the client’s request. In the picture, for example, is a version with a loading ramp.
